TCFQ – Test de connaissance du français pour le Québec
The Test de connaissance du français pour le Québec (TCF Québec) is a test of proficiency in general French specially designed to be consistent with the standards of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) du Québec. It is only intended for people wishing to settle in Québec (Certificat de Sélection du Québec).
The TCFQ is accepted as proof of proficiency in the French language by the Quebec Visa & Immigration department. If you want to send in your application for the Quebec Skilled Worker Program, you can take the TCFQ test to get the PR faster.
TCFQ consists of 2 modules: listening and speaking
- Expression orale (speaking): 15 minutes – 3 Questions
- Compréhension orale (listening): 40 minutes – 29 questions
Validity
Your certificate has a limited validity period. It is valid for 2 years.
Certificate
An official certificate of results will be available from 4 to 8 weeks after the test. Please note that the official certificate of results is the only document that can be used for immigration purposes for Canada.
