DALF France French Exam

The DALF or Diplôme approfondi de langue française

  • Dalf is the advanced language diploma and for the more advanced users of the language.
  • It has two exams under it that correspond to the levels C1 & C2, of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
  • French C1 level is required by some master’s and doctorate programs.
  • French C2 level is the highest level of proficiency in the French language.
  • Obtaining a C2 diploma usually requires at least a few years of immersive learning as well, meaning that someone with a C2 level has likely already attended a degree French course in a university or worked in French jobs for so long.

– a long recording (interview, lesson, conference…) approximately eight minutes long (played twice)
– several short radio broadcasts (newsflashes, surveys, adverts, etc) (played once).
